  The Malaysian Red Crescent puts first and foremost the humanitarian needs of the people. Therefore, it is imperative that we work and collaborate with the target community along with partner organisations and agencies to ensure that the humanitarian work is meaningful. We also collaborate with our volunteers to mobilize the power of humanity!

  Forecast-Based Action

  Hazards, risks and vulnerabilities presented to our communities are vast. Therefore, the Malaysian Red Crescent strives to address these issues through conducting thorough assessments, working on early disaster risk reduction interventions and working with communities and volunteers to prepare them through education and messaging. Destruction and loss of lives, livelihoods and properties can be prevented and mitigated through early forecast-based actions.

  Influencing

  The Malaysian Red Crescent strives to be the premier humanitarian organisation within Malaysia. Being a trusted and reliable organisation since the 1950s, we continue to build trust with the people we work with and be an influential force of good within Malaysia. To be able to mobilize people and resources for disaster prevention and response activities and to influence people on the importance of our work and mission which is 'Saving Lives, Changing Minds'.
